is a priority at Technology Executives Club, Ltd. Please read this
while using it to enhance the information and services we provide to you.
1. Newsletter Subscription
When you subscribe with Technology Executives Club, Ltd.
newsletter service you supply personal information, including your e-mail address,
which is required to deliver the weekly newsletter, club event notices
and related offers from the Club and/or Club partners. Once you subscribe to this service
you can unsubscribe any time to any or all of the service by contacting our
newsletter subscription department. All communication from the Club
will also have specific contact and opt-in and opt-out notices within
the communication to allow you to opt-in or out of that specific form
When you download and/or view a webcast, whitepaper, article or other content from our website, you may be required to fill out a form to receive the information. As a condition of receiving the information at no charge to you, you are automatically subscribed to our newsletter service and agree to the terms of our Information Sharing policy, section 2, below.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not download the webcast, whitepaper, article or other content.
2. Information Sharing
a. Certain features of our website and newsletter
require you to opt-in to share your email and contact information directly
as follows: Some of our articles, whitepapers, many of our webinars, the webcasts on demand, and other content (Content) on the website are
provided by the Club members and the articles contain a link to an email
(for example, the author) and/or an opt-in form which you must fill out completely to receive Content. The form is defaulted to Opt-In for you to request information from the Member, Sponsor or Advertiser who provided the information at no charge to you, in return for your information, including your email. Each download or viewing of Content is treated as a separate transaction, i.e., if you view any other Content on the site, you will be automatically opted-in to request more information and that member, sponsor or advertiser will receive your contact information, including your email. If you do not wish the Member or sponsor to receive your contact information do not download the Content.
If you are a member of the club and/or have access to the IT Online Education Library, you may view the content within the library without sharing your information.
b. Sponsors to our events may receive attendees' contact information. If you do not want your name and address shared with sponsors you may opt out at any time prior to the event by contacting Maria Tuthill , Member Services Director at 847-837-3900 Ext. 1.
c. The Club also offers seminar sponsors and/or advertisers licensed
use of mailing list of attendees and/or subscribers by geographic region
and by buy-side or sell-side orientation similar in practice to print
media services. You may opt in or opt-out of this list at any time
by contacting our newsletter subscription department.
One-time use mailing list information only is provided on a licensed basis.
No email information is provided.
d. Webinars offer our audience the opportunity to learn from industry experts provided by our sponsors, and are provided at no charge to you, in return for your information, including your email. Webinar sponsors will receive your contact information. If you do not wish the Webinar sponsor to receive your contact information, do not register or view the webinar.
3. Links to Third-Party Web Sites
Technology Executives Club website and newsletters and
only applies to The Technology Executives Club and does not apply to any
third party Web site you access from our newsletters, reports or notices
and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites.
a. When you register for the newsletter, or download and/or view a webcast, whitepaper, article or other content (Content) from the website, you have an option to have the site remember you on your computer. This feature allows you to enter your information only once, then each time you download a succeeding Content, you will not have to enter the information again.
b. When new visitors first enter the site, a pop-up window offers new users the opportunity to register for the newsletter service. A cookie is used to ensure that the pop-up window only appears the first time a user visits the sites, assuming the cookie is not deleted on their computer.
For each visitor to our
Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes only the consumer's
domain name, but not the e-mail address (where possible). We collect the
domain name and e-mail address (where possible) of visitors to our Web
page, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit and
information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or
site registrations. The information we collect is used to improve the
content of our Web page, used to customize the content and/or layout of
our page for each individual consumer, used to notify consumers about
updates to our Web site, used by us to contact consumers for marketing
purposes and not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes
other than specified above.
The Technology Executives Club employs several physical,
electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the personal information
you provide us.
