Abstract
Annual budgeting can be time consuming, contentious, and frustrating. For IT
finance, the workload increases exponentially with incessant back-and-forth
between IT and business users, manual consolidation of financial data from various
sources, and labor intensive ad-hoc analysis.
SunTrust was no different than other large organizations grappling with
developing a complex IT budget - typically taking months to produce a budget with
the end result still lacking the visibility needed by each participant. After deploying
EcoSys Financial Manager, SunTrust was able to shorten annual budgeting to
weeks, while for the first time providing a clear line of sight into IT initiative
